Katie Sellers

Interior Stylist

Designer . Consultant . Lecturer

I have been working as an Interior Stylist since 2002 after graduating from The Royal College of Art with an MA in Printed Textile Design.

My love of a large-scale print, a delicately crafted object, nuances in colour or simply an eye-catching texture have always been integral to my work and so it was a natural step for me to move on from designing wallpaper and apply my visual skills to Styling.

In tandem, I have been an Associate Lecturer of Textile Design at Central St Martins for the past 10 years. This has ensured that my career to date has been both varied and creative.

My time as Style Editor at BBC Homes & Antiques Magazine enabled me to explore my love of creating inspirational spaces and sourcing unique props to bring the narrative to life.

Since then, my life as a Freelancer has been delightfully diverse; working across a range of disciplines from Editorial shoots to Look Books, Trade Show Stands and Press Events to Book Publishing and Brochures.

An obsession with shopping (a.k.a propping!), a general love of all things designed and being enthused by the obscure to the conspicuous, ensures that the opportunity to work on either small-scale projects or consulting on the concept & realisation of a clients’ brand is equally rewarding.
